You Can Never Get Enough Larry: "Curb Your Enthusiam" To Return.

From Curb Your Enthusiasm's Facebook page (yup, it has one...):

This just in. Curb's coming back for an 8th season. Statement from Larry David himself: "After much soul searching - and by the way, it was nowhere to be found - I have decided to do another season of Curb. I look forward to the end of shooting, when I can once again resume the hunt for my elusive soul." Kudos to the fans who've stuck with Curb all these years.

This is great news for Larry David fans and much better than the usual Facebook item, which seems to revolve around Mafia Wars and Farmville invitations or your friends telling everyone how busy they are.

And On The Seventh Day God Ended His Work & Watched "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

(H/T: HuffPo.)

It appears that Bill Donohue must have worn out his blessed DVD copy of The Passion of the Christ. Now he's watching HBO.
I mentioned the uptight, humorless Catholic League scold here the other day, and it looks like he still hasn't found his funny bone.
Why's the King of Catholics fuming this time? Blame it on Larry David.
Yup, David's fictional wayward peeing on a Jesus painting during Sunday's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" has Donohue pissed off again:

The self-righteous comedy critic was not amused:
Mention Larry David in a word association game and "Seinfeld" rolls off the lips. That show, which David created, wrote and produced, was brilliant. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is not. Indeed, last night's episode demonstrates that David's best years are behind him. He ought to quit while he's ahead.
At one point in the show, David goes to the bathroom in a Catholic home and splatters urine on a picture of Jesus; he doesn't clean it off. Then a Catholic woman goes to the bathroom, sees the picture and concludes that Jesus is crying. She then summons her equally stupid mother and the two of them fall to their knees in prayer. When David and Jerry Seinfeld (playing himself) are asked if they ever experienced a miracle, David answers, "every erection is a miracle." That's what passes for creativity these days.
Was Larry David always this crude? Would he think it comedic if someone urinated on a picture of his mother? This might be fun to watch, but since HBO only likes to dump on Catholics (it was just a couple of weeks ago that Sarah Silverman insulted Catholics on "Real Time with Bill Maher"), and David is Jewish, we'll never know.

Pulling out your ol' anti-Semite card again, eh, Bill?

Anyway, HBO felt compelled to respond to Donohue:"

Anyone who follows Curb Your Enthusiasm knows that the show is full of parody and satire. Larry David makes fun of everyone, most especially himself. The humor is always playful and certainly never malicious. "

Conversely, Bill Donohue is never playful and certainly always malicious.

I Can't Curb My Enthusiasm.

"It's not TV, it's HBO."
No, it's TV...

The funniest show on TV--Curb Your Enthusiasm--returns September 20 with all four of Larry David's Seinfeld cronies lined up to carry the season's story arc.
I don't go to my high-school reunions, but this is one get-together that I'm actually interested in...

From Newser.com:

So what are Kramer, George, Jerry, and Elaine up to 11 years after Seinfeld went off the air? Larry David says fans can get an idea of how the characters turned out on the seventh season of his Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO, reports the (Newark, NJ) Star-Ledger. He shed more details today on the season's main storyline, which will revolve around a show-within-a-show Seinfeld reunion. Jerry Seinfeld and the others will appear in about five episodes of Curb each, though not necessarily together every time.
"For years, I've been asked about a Seinfeld reunion," David told a press tour of TV critics. The real-life David always refused. "Then I thought it might be very funny to do that on Curb. And I kept thinking about it." So if the real David didn't think it was a good idea, why is his TV alter-ego signing on? "That's a very good question, and that will be answered within the show."

Was he always such a master of his domain?

It's A Festivus Miracle!

From Evilbeetgossip.film.com:

Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Michael Richards have begun filming for their multi-episode reunion that will air on Curb Your Enthusiasm when it finally returns to HBO this Fall.

Julia is quoted as saying, “It was really fun to get together with everybody. Frankly, it was as if we never left.”

And there’s more fun to come. “We’re shooting again this month and in May,” she said. “We have a lot more work to do.”

No surprise, everyone has been sworn to secrecy…

Louis-Dreyfus can’t even reveal if they’re riffing on their legendary Seinfeld characters. “I really can’t say,” she said. “I’m sorry. I would if I could, but I’m not allowed.”
