Huh?

From the local paper here in Torrance, CA, the Daily Breeze, (one-time) ground-breaking candidate--and current idiot proxy--Geraldine Ferraro says this:

In an interview with the Breeze, Ferraro said, "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color), he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept."

The "concept"???

I realize this is Hollywood, but is Barack Obama any more of a "concept" than those who travel with him--or those preceding him--Geraldine? In 2008, we have a been-around woman and a tortured war hero also vying to replace an incumbent Bush 43, the frat-boy son of a long-gone president and former CIA spook.

But Barack's black, so...what?

"Concept"?

How about a bad actor-turned-over-rated conservative icon, a pious peanut farmer, or an Everyman college football player, Geraldine? Maybe a beaten-down man with a felonious streak and a five-o'clock-shadow? A back-room bourbon-swillin', Vietnam War-wagin' Texas Tornado?

How about Camelot's martyred son? "Concept" enough for ya?

A conquering General, perhaps? A "give-em-hell" populist? An empathetic aristocrat in a secret wheelchair?

"Concept"?

Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again(?)

I don't know who's paying you (or maybe I do), but I know that you are a colossal waste of money.

Here's a concept, Geraldine: Go back to Long Island and work on your local garbage man's next campaign. Bring your shovel.
