The truly stupid morning team on Teabag TV "reported" that the LAPD had ordered 10,000 jetpacks for its officers. Seriously.
And where did these dipshits get that idea?

Gawker first noted that it probably came from a story in the Weekly World News. For those who haven't noticed the publication in supermarket checkout lines, their logo features Bat Boy and they've broken such exclusives as "Dick Cheney is a Robot," "Satan Captured by GIs in Iraq," and "Hillary Clinton Adopts Alien Baby."
You can't make this stuff up.

Happiness Is A Warm Gun.

A man who said he was sleeping with a gun in his bed accidentally shot himself in the shoulder Wednesday morning.
The 24-year-old told investigators that he must have hit the .40-caliber pistol with his hand, said Capt. Loyd Baker of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit.
The man lives in Northgate Apartments, in the 3700 block of 34th Avenue in Northport.
The gunshot wound was not life-theatening, Baker said.
Former New York Giant receiver and fellow pistol-packin' nimrod Plaxico Burress was unavailable for comment.
