Sarah Palin Is Working On A New Paperweight.

Sarah Palin's new book has a title, "America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag," and a release date, Nov. 23, publisher HarperCollins announced Tuesday.
The Alaska ex-governor and former GOP vice presidential candidate, whose memoir "Going Rogue" has sold more than 2 million copies, has been working on a tribute to American values.
It will include "selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her," according to HarperCollins, along with "the nation's founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography, and even some of her favorite songs and movies."
The book is inspired not only by her "strong belief in the importance of family, faith, and patriotism," but by some of the people she met last year while promoting "Going Rogue."
Palin skipped major cities such as Seattle and Los Angeles, traditional stops on most author tours, and instead focused on smaller communities more receptive to her conservative message.

So, no--Simple Sarah isn't really writing a book. (Does anyone really believe she wrote her first one?) What the half-term, cashed-in former Alaska governor seems intent on selling to her gullible public is a collection of stuff she probably found on Quote Garden.

Sarah Palin has picked her writer, or co-writer, or ghostwriter (or what have you) for her upcoming and pricey HarperCollins memoir. It's Lynn Vincent, whose bio highlights being a features editor of World magazine, for conservative evangelicals. Seems to be the right fit.

But Vincent is also the author or co-author of a long list of books, one of the most recent, a 2006 hardback from Thomas Nelson, written with Robert Stacy McCain and titled Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime and Corruption in the Democratic Party.

Among their claims: "The Democratic Party is like the Gambino mob, but with matching federal funds." Its product description at Amazon kicks off with: "Shameless bribery. Illicit sex. Sweeping corruption."

McCain, by the way, is no relation to John but was once a member of a white supremacist group, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Funny, Palin didn't mention the literary stylings of former white supremacists when Katie Couric asked her what she read. 

Let's see: Palin pals around with her secessionist husband and a ghost-writing white supremacist sympathizer while fighting multiple ethics charges and is mother to her failed teenage abstinence test case who held her own baby before she touched her high school diploma.   

Yup. Palin in 2012!

John McCain's 24-year-old daughter Meghan has a book deal! Sources say Hyperion has prevailed over at least three other publishers in an auction that began earlier this week, following a round of meetings during which the in-your-face young conservative and the literary agent she shares with her father, Sterling Lord Literistic president Flip Brophy, discussed a number of possible approaches to the book with editors around town.

Several sources said the advance Ms. McCain will receive from Hyperion, which is owned by the Disney Company, is in the high six figures.

Valley (Girl) of the Sun-speak pays well. Hyperion must be basing the advance on how many times she uses the phrase, "like, you know."

President Bush’s memoir will tentatively be called “Decision Points” and is scheduled for a 2010 release by Crown. “Bush will concentrate on about a dozen personal and presidential choices, from giving up drinking to picking Dick Cheney as his vice president to sending troops to Iraq.” He will also write about “his religious faith and his highly criticized response to Hurricane Katrina.”

Will it be written in crayon? Will it be the only book housed in Dubya's planned library (lie-bury?) deep in the heart of Texas?
