PopPhoto had some fun by digitally altering the faces of McCain, Obama, and Clinton to show how 4 years in the White House may take its toll:

Hi! I just wanted to commend you on having such a great blog! Unlike most blogs on here, yours is actually entertaining to someone like me, who has the attention span of a nat.
Thanks!
Tim
Tim, you just made my day!
Thx for that!
Time has stood for this 18 year old...

I'm not sure if Obama had voted on Iraq yet when this occurred--he was sworn in in January of that year--but he'd better vote to cut the funding when it comes up next, or I know of at least one less vote he can count on if he's still standing come November.
Yes you are correct. That young woman died prior to Obama's votes to continue funding the war. Here's another 18 year old who won't have to worry about thier looks thanx to Obama's support of the war and as a Senator, done nothing to end....

Laying the entirety of a soldier's plight on Obama's doorstep is a bit of a stretch, especially since he wasn't involved in approving Dubya's dubious invasion, like Sens. Clinton and Edwards were. He was actually running for Senate in opposition to the war, an unpopular position in the country as a whole at that time. He voted no on 181, yes on 182, but with no timeline, yes on the vetoed 147, and yes on 126, which had Katrina, Medicare/Medicaid attachments, military med treatment facility and housing inspections, and requires the CBO to report on continuing health care for vets.
We'll see how the next vote goes...
