Patriot Actor

George W. Bush should have had his voicebox removed long ago, and today's quoted remarks while discussing the war in Afghanistan with civilian and military personnel don't make me think I should change my mind about that:

"I must say, I'm a little envious," Bush said. "If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed."

"It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks," Bush said.

Perhaps a member of our spineless White House press corps should ask FratBoy if this was how he felt during his tenure with the Texas Air National Guard.

But then, that might jeopardize future seating at the Grid Iron Club dinner.

I think your calling on Gee Dub to recount his Texas Air Guard days is totally out of bounds when you know full well he was too shitfaced, coked up, or both to remember much of anything...
