Inside The Mind Of Sen. James Inhofe.

Oklahoma's dimwitted global warming denier and gaping anti-science blowhole is demanding a probe of climate change scientists, alleging--among other things in his carbon-funded satchel--a possible violation of federal laws.

According to the right-wing
PajamasMedia.com:

Senator Inhofe also called for former Vice President Al Gore to be called back to the Senate to testify.
“In [Gore's] science fiction movie, every assertion has been rebutted,” Inhofe said. He believes Vice President Gore should defend himself and his movie before Congress.

Last month,
TulsaWorld.com ran this:

In a cover story on global warming titled "You Idiots!" Rolling Stone named U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe as one of the "planet's worst enemies.''
The Oklahoma Republican took issue.
"My first response was I should have been No. 1, not No. 7," said Inhofe, perhaps the most vocal global-warming skeptic in Congress. "I am serious about that. I have spent now literally years on this thing, and it has been a long, involved thing.''

Donald Trump Needs A Weatherman To Know Which Way The Wind Blows.

Both Fox News and the
New York Post advanced Donald Trump's false claim that this is the "coldest winter ever." In fact, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), global land and ocean surface temperature for December 2009 was the eighth warmest on record, and January was the fourth warmest on record.

Trumped. Again...

Just Secede Already, Will Ya?

From Reuters:

Texas and several national industry groups on Tuesday filed separate petitions in federal court challenging the government's authority to regulate U.S. greenhouse gas emissions.
Texas, which leads U.S. states in carbon dioxide emissions due to its heavy concentration of oil refining and other industries, will see a major impact if U.S. mandatory emissions reductions take effect.
In December, the Environmental Protection Agency ruled that greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide endanger human health, opening the door for the agency to issue mandatory regulations to reduce them.
Texas said it had filed a petition for review challenging the EPA's "endangerment finding" with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Texas has also asked the EPA to reconsider its ruling.
"The EPA's misguided plan paints a big target on the backs of Texas agriculture and energy producers and the hundreds of thousands of Texans they employ," Texas Gov. Rick Perry said.
The National Association of Manufacturers, the American Petroleum Institute, and the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association also said on Tuesday they filed a petition challenging the EPA in federal appeals court.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and U.S. iron and steel makers have also signaled they would file lawsuits.
Environmental groups said Texas should focus on building cleaner energy sources instead of filing lawsuits.
"Governor Perry should win an Olympic medal for taking the environment downhill," said Luke Metzger at Environment Texas. "Global warming is the greatest environmental threat facing Texas and the planet and Governor Perry's obstructionism puts the state at great risk."

Palin To Gore: Can I Call You Al?

So Sarah Palin mouths off about global warming and now her right-wing enablers are floating the idea of a debate with former Vice President Al Gore.
Sarah Palin debating about a
scientific matter? Will they put it on pay-per-view?
Jesus
Christ.
Anyway, poor l'il Sarah is striking her pre-emptive victim pose, and the audio with fellow dipshit Laura Ingraham is here:

Eye In The Sky.

From Reuters:

A Canadian astronaut aboard the International Space Station said on Sunday it looks like Earth's ice caps have melted a bit since he was last in orbit 12 years ago.
Bob Thirsk, who is two months into a planned six-month stay aboard the station, said he is mostly in awe when he looks out the window, particularly at the sliver of atmosphere wrapped around the planet.
"It's a very thin veil of atmosphere around the Earth that keeps us alive," Thirsk said during an in-flight news conference. "Most of the time when I look out the window I'm in awe. But there are some effects of the human destruction of the Earth as well."
"This is probably just a perception, but I just have the feeling that the glaciers are melting, the snow capping the mountains is less than it was 12 years ago when I saw it last time," Thrisk said. "That saddens me a little bit."

Thirsk can see a change in just 12 years from space. But then, he's Canadian! Aren't they those godless, gunless socialists with all that nasty universal health care and stuff?
