Fall's here. Summer never really was...

No need to root around the closet for sweaters and jackets: Californians never really put them away this year.
"The invisible summer, seamless from spring to fall," said Bill Patzert, a scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory who studies the role of oceans in the global climate.
In Los Angeles, the last full day of summer passed Tuesday under the gloom of a deep marine layer - the low clouds and fog that put a damper on many beach excursions and made a dip in the surf bracing.
"The ocean never warmed," Patzert said.

We Are The Ones We've Been Waiting For.

If you've read this blog at all over the past year, you know my opinion about health care reform, and you know how I feel. So here we are.
Single payer? Nope. Public option? Nope.
This country is bought and sold. Big shock, that; everything is toxic, especially the Confederates of the GOP and their media bitches, and--to listen to them--that scheming, Socialist black man in the White House has caused the End of the World as We Know It, AKA: the 1950s.
"Government Takeover?" Really? C'mon, righties! Even you aren't that f#$%@&* stupid.

Who am I kidding? Of course they are.
It might not be a great bill, but I'll go with the fact that after all these years, the alleged Greatest Country on Earth© may finally decide to begin to catch up with the rest of the industrialized world by taking a first step toward a more just health care system.

I mean, we are the ones we've been waiting for, right?
