That worked out OK, I guess. I would have preferred to see the Tigers, but they need to add a couple more pieces. The Ninja was en fuego last night, eh? I even changed my mind about Girardi over the course of the Series.. classy guy. In fact the only Yanqui who got on my nerves was Pouting Posada, whenever he didn't start. Nice redemption for ARod, too. And Jeter, classy as always. Must be the midwestern roots ;)
Matsui's been a great Yankee. And I love Posada; not sure what A.J. doesn't like, but, oh well. I know a guy who worked for the Marlins when Girardi was there--he loved the guy; said he was a stand-up guy all the way. A-Rod? Yeah, great ballplayer, but... And Jeter is Jeter and Mo is Mo--Monument Park's future plaques. But it's still Fake Yankee Stadium to me. How long 'til pitchers & catchers report?

I can't think of anything more anti-climatic than the Yankees winning the world series.

It's been 9 years, but sometimes it still feels a little fait accompli.
Let's go Dodgers! (assuming they aren't owned by a divorce court at this time next year...)
