Obama: "I Am Not The First President To Take Up This Issue, But I Am Determined To Be The Last."

President Obama took his case for effective health care reform to Congress tonight. There are no ideas from Republicans, and they support absolutely nothing this president proposes. As I've repeatedly said, "Fu*k bipartisanship." In this divisive political environment, trying to help your fellow man by locking arms with the neighborhood bully can only result in an expedient escape from the hostile side of the tracks.
Sometimes you've got to stand there and fight.

With yawning predictability, Matt Drudge frames Obama's speech for his wingnut followers. Alas, for a simpleton like Drudge, the story is a backbench, redneck representative:
That backbencher is GOP Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina. He screamed out that President Obama is a "liar."

(Joe who?)
Gee, asshole; I really wanted to send you an e-mail to tell you that I didn't like your classless bullshit.
It's OK, though; I'll keep trying. Check your spam file, Joe; there might be some $#@^&%*! (not) deleted.
Meanwhile, some of what grown-ups were waiting to hear: "If you misrepresent what is in this plan, we will call you out."
Sweeter words (from Washington) have (almost) never been heard.

Here's a pretty good analysis.
