I hate to admit it but even a complete dunce like Billo just might understand that even the public option will be operated by for-profit insurance companies exactly as Medicare is today. What this will do is provide for-profit companies with another money maker that the government will back. Don't think its a good deal? When was the last time you heard of a for-profit insurer telling the federal government they didn't want thier Medicare Part B or D business?
