Chris Matthews To William Kostric: "You're Carrying A Goddamn Gun At A Presidential Event!"

William Kostric is the asshole who brought a loaded 9mm gun to President Obama's town hall meeting in New Hampshire today. He's a Ron Paul disciple originally from Arizona and relocated to New Hampshire because it's a "live free or die" state.
So the Wild, Wild West wasn't wild enough for him.
Kudos to Chris Matthews for hammering away at him and asking him why "...you're carrying a goddamn gun at a presidential event!"
Here's Kostric's MySpace page.
I hope his 15 minutes is up and that I never see his sorry ass again.

Your an idiot. As long as you haven't committed a felony, the Constitution guarantees us the right to "bear arms". It doesn't matter if it is in your home or at a townhall meeting with the President. And if you listened to the end of the show, it sounds like Mr. Matthews is agreeing that he has the right to carry...maybe not to a Presidential townhall mtg. But, until the day that we get all of our rights taken away, because of complacent and mindless people like you. I say carry on Mr. Kostric, carry on!!!!

You can keep the right, but you can also use a little common sense. It's been a few months since I've been to Portsmouth, but the last time I checked, it was pretty safe town so I see no reason to carry. It's kind of like burning the flag, I will support the right to do it, but I'd have no respect for those who do. The guy is acting like a child. Grow up use your head.

This comment is wrong and out of line: it was pretty safe town so I see no reason to carry.

It is not for YOU to judge if there is a reason or not to carry.
It is your right according to the constitution, END OF STORY.

This is NOT comparable to burning the flag. Burning the flag is a blatant disrespect to America and to, to it's people and to the Constitution.

Legally bearing arms is a CELEBRATION of America, its people, and the Constitution.

I'm so sick and tired of the arrogance out there...

The guy is NOT acting like a child, he is by far one of the most responsible citizens out there.

YOU grow up and use your head...

giscott87, I couldn't care less if Matthews was "agreeing" at the end or not. Chris Matthews doesn't decide how I feel about things--I do that.

The Constitution guarantees many things. The right to privacy clause allows abortion. How about we perform a couple at restaurants?

Kostric wanted his 15 minutes of fame and he got it. Looks and sounds like an asshole to me.

Where is the "right to privacy" clause? However, if you claim that a "right to privacy" allows abortion, then how could performing one in public possibly fall under such a clause?

While I don't care one way or the other about abortion, I do recognize that the 2A says keep and BEAR arms.

It wasn't that long ago that anti-Bush protesters were throwing rocks at the President and holding signs saying WANTED: BUSH DEAD OR ALIVE, with the word "alive" crossed out. Where was your indignation then?

He did nothing illegal. He exercised his second amendment rights. Obama brought this on himself by being two faced about the second amendment; thereby, giving concern to many people that he will actively infringe on our second amendment rights. Expect to see more of it. You may think he is an asshole, but how about Chris Mathews that gave him the 15 seconds of fame. No opinion on that?

I have no problem with Matthews interviewing this cretin.
Obama has said or done NOTHING for firearm paranoiacs to now begin to bring firearms to presidential events.
Sex is legal, too, but I'm not fucking in an intersection.
Are you?
