I was a huge '60s-era Batman fan. I loved it enough to create my own superhero as a young dumbass. I was SpaceAce--with a white towel as a cape--sporting an Ace of Spades drawn in black Magic Marker. I safety-pinned it around my neck once and jumped off the bleachers onto a high-school basketball court during a time-out.
Then I got in my spaceship and flew home.
Campy Batman star Adam West is now 80 years old, and will be featured in a live-action segment on an upcoming Family Guy episode.
As an homage, maybe I'll break out the markers, make myself a new cape and jump off the couch.
