From the Los Angeles Times:
Several years in the making, the Terrafugia Transition made a successful first test flight this week at Plattsburgh International Airport in upstate New York.
Often referred to as a “flying car,” the Transition (created by Terrafugia Inc.) is a two-seat aircraft designed to take off and land at local airports and drive on any road.
I grew up in the North Country and there was nothing international about that airport then. Hell, there was nothing national about it.
Now George Jetson flies around up there.
( I always had a thing for his daughter Judy...)

Huh, I saw this on the news the other night. Watched as it was driven into a regular two car garage but I didn't know it took it's first ride in Plattsburgh! Hey, if I still lived there and had a rich friend that could afford this thing, we could fly from Nitzi's to Toot n' Tell'm over the lunch hour and be back before the hour's over!
True.
But you'd still be in Plattsburgh.
