Thanx for the link to the Paul Krugman NYT article. I absolutely agree with many who take Obama's "move forward" remarks to mean the Bush gang is off the hook for their crimes for two reasons. Obama simply doesn't want to apply the resources to a prosecution that will divide a congress that he needs working as one to move the nation towards recovery. Second there is enough stink to go around and help us all remember that for 8 years the Dems sat on their self-serving asses, chose to do nothing, and allowed the Bush gang to ruin the country.
The only question remaining is one related to likelihood of Bush making iron-clad his gang's untouchability from prosecution in this country with pro-active pardoning done on a sweeping scale. And that's going to be very interesting because to do so they let Obama off the hook in terms of prosecution but open the door for the World Court. And that might just be the option that works best for Obama too.

Every Krugman column is "must-read." Obama said recently that he is open to listening to Krugman's ideas, and I surely hope he does.
The Dems haven't been the "loyal opposition" for the last 8 years; they've been partners in crime. Now they say that there will be investigations whether Obama presses the issue or not. Nice f****** timing.
I think the World Court would be the ideal setting for this band of international war criminals, as it would expose both the severity of Bush/Cheney's policies and the resulting geopolitical damage these clowns foisted on the world.
Cheney maintains his Nixon fixation--he really believes that if the president--or VP--does it, it isn't illegal. Bush--a scrim on which the neocons projected their worldview--was always too stupid to object.
Good riddance to all that, and I hope we'll see 'em in World Court.
