Forget the ACORN controversy. The desperate, last-gasp GOP is trying to sell the reports of scattered voter registration fraud as voter fraud, which of course it is not.
The voter registration fraud in ACORN's case results when employees--paid per-registration--fill out forms using false names and addresses. Fraudulent registrations are usually filtered out, and the chances of "Mickey Mouse" slipping through to cast his socialist vote are minute, indeed.
In reality, the registration fraud is perpetrated against organizations such as ACORN, not caused by them.
Voter fraud occurs when votes are actually cast by ineligible voters.
Big difference.
The real concern again this election season is voter suppression, and it is being tracked by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and investigative reporter Greg Palast.
