"Ah! Now We Are Getting Somewhere!"

Inspector Clouseau, from "The Pink Panther Strikes Again"...

From the UK's TimesOnLine:

The body of Saddam Hussein was stabbed six times after he was executed, according to the head guard at the former president’s tomb north of Baghdad, who was one of the people that helped bury the corpse.

The claim is categorically denied by the head of Saddam’s tribe. The Iraqi Government similarly denies any mutilation took place after the dictator was hanged on December 30, 2006, for crimes against humanity.

From Reuters, December 30, 2006:

"Bringing Saddam Hussein to justice will not end the violence in Iraq, but it is an important milestone on Iraq's course to becoming a democracy that can govern, sustain, and defend itself," (President)  Bush said in his statement.

"Many difficult choices and further sacrifices lie ahead."

Bush was told around 6:15 p.m. CST (0015 GMT) that the execution would take place in a few hours and was asleep when it occurred, said White House spokesman Scott Stanzel.

"The president concluded his day knowing that the final phase of bringing Saddam Hussein to justice was under way," Stanzel said.

Let me, um, take a stab at this:

Dubya was "asleep."

Saddam was stabbed six times at the same time.

I don't read much, but even I know that it had to be Bill Ayers!
