"News Is What Somebody Somewhere Wants To Suppress; All The Rest Is Advertising."

(Lord Northcliffe provided the title for this post.)

Journalists Jo Becker, Peter S. Goodman, and Michael Powell paint a picture of insular secrecy, vendettas, and small-town cronyism describing Sarah Palin's political modus operandi in a front-page feature in Sunday's New York Times.

Palin, of course, refused to be interviewed for the article.

Her husband Todd--who seems a bit too involved in state government for a non-government employee--claimed a lack of memory through a McCain campaign spokesman for an incident reported in the article.

Expect amplified braying from conservatives near and far, and claims of a "hit job" by that mean, old New York Times.

You know how a free press bothers those stellar, flag-waving patriots.

As noted in an earlier post, Palin will enjoy a home-field advantage this week when she sits with FOX News buffoon Sean Hannity on what is essentially GOP-TV.

The more I read about this minor leaguer, the scarier the proposition that she makes it to The Show.
