So the Democrats figure "Who gives a shit?", and they vote to sell "drilling" rights so they can get it off the table during elections as an issue so they can now say they have come to a "non-partisan bilateral agreement" with the other side.

Well, just take a look around you and think about an entire world economy that is wholly dependent upon petrochemicals.
Instead of holding these mineral rights in the pocket of the American people as an investment for their value in the petrochemical market of the future, our elected government under the direction of Republicans and Democrats alike is voting to hand them over to the oil companies for much, much less than pennies on the dollar.
Once again, we lose and the robber barons win.

Just to save you a little time in dressing the moose, use a chain saw filled with vegetable oil as chain lube. Wear clothing that you won't mind throwing away.
