According to several news organizations, Barack Obama has clinched the Democratic presidential nomination.
Obama now has the delegates necessary to become his party's presumptive nominee and will face John McCain in November.
Hillary Clinton--herself a historical candidate--has indicated she would consider the V.P. slot, if offered.
Obama will be the first African-American to represent a major political party as its nominee.
Big news here, big news around the world.
And it's about time.
