JackRabbit Café contributor "The Best Looking Man In Show Business Today" recaps Sunday's Celtics win:
It was the best of games. It was the worse of games. For 36 minutes the Celtics were nearly flawless but for 12 minutes they were…well I’m not sure they were even in the building. Let’s hope they learned a lesson about playing every minute of every game.
Paul Pierce was again huge in every aspect of the game and clearly the best player on the floor despite playing on an injured knee that is a bit of mystery because he has decided to forego an MRI on it until the finals are over. His take, “I can either play or I can’t.” Heart? I think so.
And what about Leon Powe???!!! Great game and great halftime feature. Even if you hate the green team you have to be pulling for LP.
Missing from the game was a Laker team that simply refuses to attack the basket but is bewildered that they didn’t go to the free throw line. Powe went to the line more often than the entire Laker team because he attacked the basket more often than the entire Laker team. Perhaps the down side of the fourth quarter for the Lakers is that it may have reinforced the misguided mindset that they can beat the Celtics without attacking the basket.
TBLMISBT
Play ALL 48 minutes, Celts!
