Ah Jesus, sweet Jesus!!!
As the Celtics delivered another legendary game to the Nation last night you had to be wowed by the contributions of Eddie House and James Posey. Garnett and Pierce were large too. But for my money Ray “Jesus” Allen was the man. For the second time in the series he completed outplayed Kobe. Yeah, that Kobe. The MVP Kobe.
Kobe scored an un-Jordan-like 17 points on 6 for 19 shooting and while he had 10 assists, most came early in the game and primarily because of the strangle hold Ray Ray had on him. If you are a fan of the efficiency ranking thingy that Larry Bird initiated back in the day, Ray’s score was +6 for a full 48 minutes, Kobe’s a dismal -9.
My vote for series MVP so far would have to go to Ray Ray as his defense on Kobe in two of the Celtic wins (games 1 and 4) has been the deciding factor. His quiet demeanor and focus doesn’t make him flashy or apparently post-game interview worthy but I as have said before he is the player that most embodies the Celtic persona, bust it on D and the offense will come.
Can’t wait for game 5.

I hear you about post game interview. I asked the same thing last night. Nothing against Paul Pearce (spelling?) but did Ray Allen all of a sudden become invisible?
On a very, very sad note - Tim Russert passed away. Friggin' heart attack. What a tremendous loss. He has been a part of my Sunday morning routine for the past 3 years. It won't be the same without him.
