Toast & Ms. Demure.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON - Former President Carter said he feels "quite at ease" about meeting Hamas militants over the objections of Washington because the Palestinian group is essential to a future peace with Israel.

Several State Department officials, including the secretary, Condoleezza Rice, criticized Carter's plans to talk in Syria this week with exiled Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal in the first public contact in two years between a prominent American figure and the group. Carter said he had not heard the objections directly, although a State Department spokesman said earlier that a senior official from the department had called the former president.

Why is it that an unfairly discounted president from 30 years ago boils policy down to its essence and the current numbnuts can't find their way to the office each morning?

Don't ever talk to anybody, Condi. You might learn something.  It was Bush who penned, "My Administration Will Be Left Behind", right?

If Condi Rice thinks it's a bad idea, then of course it's the right thing to do!

Ms. Rice, please stick to concertos and your secret lesbian lifestyle (not that there's anything wrong with that, no matter what your boss's policies say--just talk to Dick!). I don't even like football, so  your NFL Commissioner  jones is no skin off my ass.  You'll only be around for a few more months, anyway, and then you and your ilk will be knocked away like the mud on our wheels that you are.

Condi, when the "Rice Era" is immortalized, you might want to skip those books.
