My partner in International Affairs is now my guest blogger!

In his own words, heeeeeeeeeeeeerrre's CHARLES!

John and I are currently here at LAX awaiting our departure to Taipei in about an hour and a half. After arriving in Guadalajara last Wednesday with the intention of becoming an English teacher, a week later I'm on my way to Taiwan to pick up a box of computer chips with my uncle. A slight detour I suppose.

Anyway, this is my first contribution to any sort of blog, though I was published in the Prestigious and Official publication of the Bolivian Peace Corps. Just a side note on my old friends there: It recently came to light that the U.S. Embassy had been asking Peace Corps Volunteers and Fulbrighters in Bolivia to spy on Cuban and Venezuelan volunteers in the country. I guess Fulbright wasn't for me after all. In this blog they shall henceforth be referred to as Halfbright.

So far so good in Guadalajara. I live in a house with four German girls, three of whom are named Christina. They are students at the University of Guadalajara, and seem unsure what to make of the strange American who got here last week and left for Taipei at six this morning. Well, I'm not sure what to make of it myself yet, but we shall see. Mahalo...
